
Dr. Pavel Brunssen is a cultural studies scholar researching antisemitism and antigypsyism in contemporary European societies. His work focuses on popular cultures, memory studies, and public spaces, examining how discrimination is produced and contested in everyday practices, especially in football and other popular arenas.
He is a Research Associate and Alfred Landecker Lecturer at Heidelberg University and the author of The Making of “Jew Clubs” (Indiana University Press, 2025).
